Where the others stop
Every Swedish accounting product stops just short of the finish line. You pay for the software all year. When the year has to be closed and the annual report filed, you pay again, or hire someone to do it.
If you run the company on your own, that means two bills for the same year: one for the bookkeeping and one for actually being done. The second bill is usually the larger one.
Bokstad charges once. Bookkeeping, VAT, year-end close, annual report and INK2 are included, year after year. That is the whole difference, and the reason we are building this.
Using one of the products in the table? Your books come with you. All of them export SIE files, the standard format for Swedish bookkeeping, and Bokstad imports them.

Bokstad is software. We are not an accounting firm and we do not give tax advice.
You say yes. Bokstad does the rest.
Every bank transaction arrives with a suggested account and VAT treatment, and a sentence saying why. Nothing is posted until you approve it.
- Suggestions with a reason
- You see which account, which VAT and what the suggestion is based on. When Bokstad is unsure it says so, with a percentage.
- Bokstad learns your company
- Tick Remember once and the next invoice from the same counterparty is booked the same way. Your own rules always beat the AI.
- VAT is worked out for you
- 25, 12 or 6 percent is split onto the right accounts, for purchases, sales and refunds. Foreign suppliers are flagged instead of being booked wrong.
- Corrected, never deleted
- A posted entry is never changed. A mistake is fixed by a correcting entry that points at the original, exactly as the Swedish Accounting Act wants.
This screen already exists in the product. The companies and amounts here are made up.
Banks we connect to
Bokstad fetches your company’s transactions automatically, every day, through Enable Banking, a registered account information service provider under PSD2. You approve the connection with your bank, we never see your credentials, and you can switch off the automatic fetching at any time and import transactions yourself instead. From day one you can connect 81 Swedish banks and savings banks, plus a few foreign business banks.

- Has Bokstad launched?
- No. Launch is planned for autumn 2026. Until then we are building the product and collecting registrations, and you will get an email when there is something to try.
- Are you an accounting firm?
- No. Bokstad is software. We do not give tax advice and cannot take responsibility for your decisions. If you need advice, talk to an accountant or Skatteverket.
- What happens to my email address?
- We store it with the time, the language you used and whatever you filled in about company and bank. We use it to contact you about Bokstad, nothing else. You can ask us to delete it at any time via privacy@bokstad.se.
- What does it cost?
- 189 kr/month excluding VAT is the price we are aiming for. It may change before launch. Year-end close, annual report and tax return are included.
- Which companies is Bokstad for?
- Swedish limited companies where the owner does the bookkeeping. If you have several companies, each gets its own set of books in Bokstad. Sole traders are not supported.
