Common questions

This is what we know today. The page is updated as we decide more, and if your answer is not here you can always write to us.

Has Bokstad launched?
No. Launch is planned for autumn 2026. Until then we are building the product and collecting registrations, and you will get an email when there is something to try.
Are you an accounting firm?
No. Bokstad is software. We do not give tax advice and cannot take responsibility for your decisions. If you need advice, talk to an accountant or Skatteverket.
What happens to my email address?
We store it with the time, the language you used and whatever you filled in about company and bank. We use it to contact you about Bokstad, nothing else. You can ask us to delete it at any time via privacy@bokstad.se.
What does it cost?
249 kr/month excluding VAT is the price we are aiming for. It may change before launch. Year-end close, annual report and tax return are included.
Which companies is Bokstad for?
Swedish limited companies where the owner does the bookkeeping. If you have several companies, each gets its own set of books in Bokstad. Sole traders are not supported.
What is included in the price?
Bookkeeping with bank connection, invoicing, payroll with employer declarations, VAT returns, year-end close, the annual report to Bolagsverket, the INK2 tax return to Skatteverket and API access to all your data. All of it for 249 kr/month excluding VAT, every year.
Is the annual report really included, even in year two?
Yes. That is the whole point of Bokstad. Bokio charges 1 795 kr a year extra for the annual report, Spiris 1 896 kr, and Fortnox needs a separate product. With us it is part of the subscription, year after year.
Which banks can I connect?
Bank connections go through Enable Banking, which supports virtually every Swedish bank and savings bank, 81 of them when we counted in September 2026, plus Lunar, Revolut Business, Wise and Juni. The full list is on the start page.
Are transactions fetched automatically?
Yes, every day, with your consent given at the bank. We never see your credentials. If you would rather import transactions yourself, you can switch the automatic fetching off.
How does the early-access discount work?
Everyone who registers before launch gets 15 percent off the first year. The discount is locked in when you start using Bokstad and lasts twelve months.
Is there a lock-in period?
No. The subscription is monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Your books can be exported.
Where is my data stored?
Within the EU/EEA. Accounting records are kept for seven years after the end of the financial year, as the Swedish Accounting Act requires. The details are in the privacy policy.
Can I connect Bokstad to other systems?
Yes. Every user gets an open API to all their data at no extra cost, for point-of-sale systems, web shops or your own tools.
How does Bokstad use AI?
The AI does the groundwork: it reads receipts and invoices, suggests an account and VAT rate for each transaction, flags anomalies and answers questions about your books in plain language. Nothing is posted without your approval, and year-end accounts and returns go through the same checks as everything else.
How accurate is the 3:12 calculator?
It follows chapter 57 of the Swedish Income Tax Act as in force from 2026 and is checked against Skatteverket’s figures, but it is an estimate and does not cover every situation. Check with Skatteverket or an adviser before deciding on a dividend.
